so I'm thinking about putting trailer brakes on the trailer, i can do that for about 200 dollars. I'm not worried about the jeep as a whole when towing the trailer I'm only worried about stopping. i usually only tow a utility quad on the trailer, but i have also used it to tow about 1400 lbs of drywall (which was a little scary w/ the jeep) which is close to the recommended tow rating for the jeep. Okay, so i bought a small 4x8 utility trailer to pull behind the TJ a few months ago, it tows it fine its just when i want to come to a stop is when i have problems.
